Glennon Brothers Pearse Park is the headquarters of Longford GAA. The stadium hosts Longford’s home league and championship fixtures in both football and hurling. It is also the venue for local championship fixtures at all grades for mens and ladies teams (underage and senior) in both football and hurling. The stadium hosts the concluding stages (including the finals) of the senior, intermediate and junior championships in both the men’s and ladies’ competitions.
As well as being the venue for all major games in the Longford GAA calendar, Pearse Park is a strategically well-placed location for the GAA and has been used to host numerous major national GAA fixtures that have been shown on live television. Pearse Park was the venue for the 2008 All-Ireland minor final replay between Tyrone and Mayo. Extensive renovations to the main stand (including the installation of new seating), turnstiles and other enhancements were completed in 2019 and in July 2019, Pearse Park hosted the All-Ireland U20 Football Championship Semi Final featuring Dublin and Galway as well as two All- Ireland Minor Championship Quarter Finals.
Following the completion of the renovation and modernisation works in 2019, Glennon Brothers Pearse Park is now one of the finest medium-sized GAA stadiums in the midlands, capable of hosting intercounty games at all levels.
